Terms of Service
Last updated August 2026
Clubs Radar helps you find shooting-sports clubs and the events they run, book a place, and pay a club its membership dues. These terms are the agreement between you and Alanview Group, which operates Clubs Radar. They cover the Clubs Radar website and the Clubs Radar mobile app. By using either, you agree to them. How we handle personal information is set out separately in our privacy policy.
What Clubs Radar is
We are a place to find clubs and events, and to pay for them. We are not the club. Clubs list their own events, set their own prices, set their own eligibility and safety rules, and decide their own rules on cancellations. What happens at an event is run by the club hosting it.
We do not vet, license, insure or supervise clubs, their events, their ranges or their officials, and we are not a party to what you agree with a club when you turn up. If you have a question about how an event will be run, ask the club — its contact details are on its page.
Your account
- You need an account to RSVP, buy a ticket or join a club. You sign in with Google or Apple; we never see your password for either.
- You must be at least 13 to hold an account. Younger shooters attend with a parent or guardian, and it is the adult's account that books.
- Keep your details accurate. A club uses the name and email on your account to know who is coming, and to let you in on the day.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else is using it.
- You can delete your account at any time from your account settings.
Safety and eligibility
Shooting sports are regulated, and the rules differ from place to place. Booking through Clubs Radar does not make you eligible to shoot, and it is not a licence, a permit or a safety certificate. Meeting the legal requirements that apply to you — licensing, certification, age, membership of a governing body, anything else your club or your jurisdiction requires — is your responsibility, and checking them is the club's. A club can refuse you entry, and we do not refund on the club's behalf when it does so for a reason within its own rules.
Paying for tickets and dues
- We take the payment. When you buy a ticket or pay dues through Clubs Radar, your payment is taken by us and settles with us, and we then pass the club its share. Your card details go to Stripe, our payment processor, and not to us or to the club.
- The price is the club's. The club sets it, including whether an event is free, and what a membership costs.
- Membership dues recur where the club has set them up that way, until you or the club cancel. You can stop a recurring membership from your account.
- Your record of what you have paid is under transactions.
Refunds and cancellations
The club's cancellation rules decide whether a booking can be refunded — how late you can pull out, and what happens if the club cancels or the weather does. Ask the club first; it is the fastest answer and it is the club's decision.
Because the payment was taken by us, we are the ones who put the money back. There is no self-serve refund button: once a refund is agreed, ask us or the club and we will process it to the card you paid with. Refunds go back the way they came, and we cannot send one to a different card or account.
None of this limits a right to a refund you have by law, which stands whatever the club's own rules say.
If you run a club
This section applies in addition to everything above.
- Our fee. We keep 2% of each ticket sale and of each membership payment taken through Clubs Radar, unless we have agreed a different rate with your club. The rate applied to a sale is recorded on that sale, so changing it later never restates what you have already been paid.
- Getting paid. We hold the money we take on your events and pay out your share monthly, on the day of the month you choose in your dashboard. If a month's balance is below the minimum payout amount set for your club, it rolls into the next month rather than being paid out.
- Verification. Before we can pay you, Stripe has to verify your club's identity and bank details. Payouts wait until that is complete, and can be paused if Stripe later needs more information.
- Your listings must be true. Accurate dates, prices, locations, and an honest description of what the event is and who may attend.
- What you may not sell here. Firearms, ammunition, primers, powder, magazines and firearm components may not be sold or taken payment for through Clubs Radar — not in your shop, not as a quick-pay code, and not bundled into a ticket. This is a rule of the app stores we distribute through, not a comment on your business: selling them at your counter is entirely your affair, and range time, lane hire, memberships, training, clays, targets, food and merchandise are all welcome here. Listings that break this are removed, and payments taken through them may be refunded.
- Your legal obligations are yours. Licensing, insurance, safety, supervision, age and eligibility checks, and the tax on what you earn. We do not do any of these for you.
- Member data is for running your club. You see the name, email and booking of people who book with you so you can run the event. Use it for that. Do not sell it, and do not add people to unrelated marketing.
- Refunds you agree, we process. If you agree a refund with a member, it comes out of your balance with us, along with our fee on that sale.
Volunteering
Some clubs post jobs that members can take on at an event. Taking one is a commitment you make to that club, not to us. It is not employment, and it is not paid by us.
Advertisers and offers
You may see offers from advertisers in the app, sometimes earned through what you have done with a club. The offer belongs to the advertiser, its own terms apply, and it is the advertiser who honours it. We are not the seller of whatever an advertiser is offering.
Content you upload
Logos, cover images and gallery photos you upload stay yours. You give us permission to store and display them where they need to appear — your club page, your events, and listings across the site and app. Only upload things you have the right to use, and do not upload anything unlawful or anything that identifies someone who has not agreed to it.
There is no tolerance for content that is abusive, hateful, threatening, sexual, or aimed at harassing a person. Anyone can report a club, an event, a photo or a person from the app or the website, and we look at every report within 24 hours. We remove content that breaks this rule and we close the accounts of people who keep posting it. You can also block another member at any time, which hides everything they run from you.
Using the service properly
Do not:
- scrape, bulk-download or resell our listings, or the contact details in them;
- interfere with the service, probe it for weaknesses, or try to reach data that is not yours;
- impersonate a club, an official or another person;
- book with the intention of reselling, or make bookings you do not intend to honour;
- post anything unlawful, threatening or deliberately misleading.
Availability
We work to keep Clubs Radar running, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of faults. We may change features, and we may suspend the service for maintenance. Where we make a change that materially reduces what you have already paid for, we will put it right.
Suspending or ending an account
You can stop using Clubs Radar at any time, and delete your account. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, or that puts other people at risk. If we do, we will still honour bookings already paid for where it is safe and lawful to do so, and clubs will still be paid what they are owed on completed sales.
Our responsibility, and its limits
We are responsible for running Clubs Radar with reasonable care, for taking your payment correctly, and for paying clubs what they are owed. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Beyond that, and as far as the law allows: we are not responsible for what happens at an event, for a club's conduct or its decisions, for injury or loss at a range or on a shoot, or for a club cancelling. Our total liability to you for anything connected with Clubs Radar is limited to what you have paid through the service in the twelve months before the claim.
Map data
Maps on Clubs Radar are built from OpenStreetMap data, made available by the OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database Licence. The map tiles are served by OpenFreeMap from schemas by OpenMapTiles, and drawn in the browser with a style of our own. Place searches use OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Clubs Radar after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and you and we agree to those courts hearing it. If you are a consumer, this does not take away any right you have under the law where you live.
